The National Centre for Universities and Business welcomed the Prime Minister’s emphasis on science, innovation and talented people in her speech yesterday.
Chief Executive David Docherty said: “Theresa May said last summer that she wanted a positive outcome for science in the Brexit negotiations. She is sticking to that position. What’s more, she has made clear that this country will continue to attract the brightest and the best to work or study here.”
“Brexit uncertainties will remain for some time but yesterday’s speech gives welcome reassurances that the National Centre’s member interests are among the Government’s top priorities.”
