Executive roundtable
NCUB’s State of the Relationship report is the UK’s leading analysis of university–business collaboration. Drawing on key data and current affairs, it provides valuable insights to support strategic planning across sectors, while also showcasing the strength and diversity of partnerships across the UK. Widely read by policymakers, the report plays a vital role in shaping the national conversation on research, innovation and collaboration.
This year’s theme – ‘Shifting global landscapes’ – will explore how the UK can enhance its resilience, responsiveness and long-term strengths amid international change.
As part of our Member engagement, NCUB convened a series of closed-door roundtables to directly involve senior leaders from our Member universities and businesses in the report’s development.
This session:
- Surfaced the key challenges and opportunities that matter most to senior leaders right now
- Provided a forum to test and refine the emerging themes of the 2025 report
- Offered participants the opportunity to shape the report at a formative stage
This was a unique opportunity to influence NCUB’s flagship publication and ensure it reflects the realities and priorities of those working at the heart of UK innovation.
