The University of London is a federal organisation and is one of the oldest, largest and most diverse universities in the UK.
It consists of 18 autonomous Colleges of outstanding reputation, together with a number of prestigious academic bodies based at Senate House. The latter are collectively known as the School of Advanced Study; together they serve and support both the interests of the Colleges and the broader achievements of UK higher education.
In addition to its UK based operations, the University also has unparalleled international reach. The University of London International Academy is the world’s oldest provider of degrees through distance and flexible learning. Since 1858, it has made its programmes accessible to students all over the world. Today, it has students in over 190 countries worldwide studying over a hundred degrees, diplomas and certificates.
