This NCUB submission to this House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee inquiry looked at the nature and purpose of a new funding agency modelled on the US’ Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) and how it will fit into the existing research and innovation ecosystem.

The submission called for the new agency to have clear mission based research aims, sit within the wider research landscape, have a greater tolerence for failure, and greater flexibility in funding opportunites.
