The UK’s top tech companies will lock horns and help showcase the very best in university research at the Spin-Out Pitch-Off, as part of the Digital Shoreditch Festival on Wednesday 13 May.

Participants will pitch their own spin-out companies to an audience of investors, researchers, entrepreneurs and advisors, to outline how they would capitalise on pioneering research & development from universities around the UK.

Presentations from a number of notable entrepreneurs will offer insight into the collaboration and breakthrough creative thinking, which is paving the way for an exciting future for UK businesses.

Applications will be accepted until the 12pm deadline, Wednesday 29 April, and each spin-out needs to show a genesis of their product or service from a research project at a UK university.

NCUB Chief Operating Officer Dr Joe Marshall Said:

“Events like these are exciting, as they show the direct impact of university research on creativity, business, entrepreneurialism, employment and the economy. We look forward to seeing some great ideas from our leading technology companies.”

The event will be held at the Digital Catapult Centre, 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm 13 May. For more information and to register, please visit the Digital Catapult Centre’s event page.
