The purpose of the Talent 2030 Dashboard is to set out targets for increasing female particpation in STEM subjects, with fixed targets for 2030 at different levels of education.

The 2017 dashboard found that since the annual dashboards were started in 2012, 50% of GCSE physics students were girls, hitting the first target set by Talent 2030, the National Centre’s campaign to encourage more girls into engineering. Progress had been made at undergraduate and GCSE level but declined slightly at Postgraduate and A-level.
