The State of the Relationship is NCUB’s Flagship Report and is commissioned by UK Research and Innovation. The State of the Relationship 2018 report is the fifth edition of report.The report shows that the broader context is changing, with a new emphasis on industrial strategy, grand challenges, devolution at city-region level, the patient capital review, and preparing for Brexit and showcases the strength and diversity of collaborations across the UK.

In this report we include the Collaboration Progress Monitor (CPM), a bespoke tool tracking progress in UK university-business collaboration and we also feature articles from university and business leaders from across the UK.
