The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) has submitted its response to the Government’s inquiry on innovation, growth and the regions.

We warmly welcome the Committee’s inquiry into the role of innovation in supporting growth across all regions and nations of the UK. It is our view that the research, development and innovation (RDI) ecosystem is essential to driving the Government’s missions, particularly on economic growth.

Our response highlights the importance of universities to regional growth,
through working with businesses on collaborative research projects to training people with the skills needed to deliver on the aims of the Industrial Strategy.
