NCUB have produced a response to select questions from the Research Excellence Framework 2028: issues for further consultation following initial decisions.

The consultation seeks input on initial decisions published earlier in 2023. NCUB’s response focuses on proposals to fully break the link between individual staff members and unit submissions, Impact case studies, Unit of Assessment and the Impact of Covid-19 pandemic. In our response we highlight the importance of the REF in driving behaviours in the sector and how the proposed changes could support greater individual mobility between universities and businesses.
