In this book, NCUB provides a comprehensive summary and update of the evidence base for the benefits of collaboration. It collates and updates the findings of three reports published as a result of the Enhancing Value Task Force run by NCUB in 2012 on the value of research and development to the UK economy.

Key recommendations include a long term commitment from government to maintain the excellence of the UK research base, and to prioritise and finance collaboration as well as the sharing of best practice in innovation between UK universities and businesses, local and global.
