Last week I spoke at the conference of Praxis Unico, the professional association for university knowledge exchange. My theme was all about the need to celebrate good times.

Successive waves of government reports on universities quite rightly focus the vital task of pulling university inventiveness into innovation, and the UK is good at this, although it can always be better.

Whilst we focus on the analysis, we should celebrate the fantastic success stories such as those in the National Centre’s State of the Relationship report. As part of our celebrations we are sponsoring the Times Higher Education Awards category “Most Innovative Contribution to Business-University Collaboration”.

This award will go to the business that can demonstrate the most imaginative and effective partnership with an institution or institutions. Companies of any size will be considered and submissions from either universities or companies will be accepted.

All entries must be endorsed by the partnering institutions. So, if you are a university with a business partner, large or small, local or global, whom you wish to nominate please do so here.

And if you are a company or an individual who wants to put yourself forward alongside your university we would be delighted to hear from you. Good luck.
