This report by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (now BEIS) is the government’s response to Sir Andrew Witty’s report ‘Encouraging a British Invention Revolution’, detailing government action to each of Sir Andrew’s recommendations.

The response explains how Government is rising to Sir Andrew’s challenge, among other, by making a long term commitment to supporting universities in a third mission to deliver economic growth and by strengthening Local Enterprise Partnerships.
