The UK has world-class research, innovative businesses and talented people. The challenge is to turn these strengths into investment, productivity, jobs and lasting growth across the UK.
Ahead of the Autumn Budget, NCUB is calling on the UK Government to work with business, universities and places to make that happen. Our submission identifies four priorities to achieve this: secure the foundations, empower places, focus investment and incentivise investment.
The submission provides the evidence and detailed recommendations behind these priorities, including action to protect public R&D investment, strengthen higher and technical education, support business investment and build the capabilities needed to help the UK compete internationally and drive growth across the UK.
