Unlocking talent through collaboration

Member Event: State of the Relationship 2026: Unlocking talent through collaboration

The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) invites you to a roundtable focused on the future of the UK’s skills and talent pipeline, informed by the latest data from the Collaboration Progress Monitor (CPM)

This session will spotlight trends in university-business collaboration on talent development—graduate outcomes, talent and workforce mobility—and ask what more can be done to align education with evolving labour market needs.

As part of NCUB’s flagship State of the Relationship 2026 cycle, your insights will help shape both the narrative of the report and the policy conversation on talent development.

What we will discuss:

  • The latest data and insights on university-business collaboration around skills, talent, and student enterprise
  • How universities are partnering with employers to support placement opportunities, graduate transitions, and lifelong learning pathways
  • The gaps, challenges and recommendations to improve measurement and alignment between education and workforce needs

Details:

All discussions will be held under Chatham House Rule to encourage open, reflective exchange.

The roundtable is at 11-12:30pm on 17th September 2026. It will be hosted by the NCUB on MS Teams
