The UK Government has placed R&D and innovation at the heart of its Plan for Growth and its global ambitions. Collaboration between universities and businesses are central to achieving its aspirations.
The National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB) was asked by UK Research and Innovation to launch a new Taskforce to advise on the future of UK R&D. In response, NCUB launched a Taskforce of university and business leaders to consider how partnerships between universities and businesses can be strengthened and maximised to drive growth and prosperity.
The Taskforce provided ten recommendations to the Government as it shapes its R&D plan and Innovation Strategy. We are working closely with Government to realise and further develop these recommendations.
