“We have a lot of expertise, but this project required some very specialist expertise that we simply didn't have”. Craig Lucas, Senior Technical Consultant, Numerical Algorithms Group Ltd
A longstanding collaboration between the Numerical Algorithms Group (NAG) and the University's School of Mathematics developed into a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) that would enable cutting-edge maths research to power NAG's commercial software solutions.
KTP programmes employ one or more high-calibre associates (recent graduates) for a project lasting six months to three years, transferring and embedding new knowledge and skills that the company is seeking into the business.
NAG has a long history of working closely with world-leading researchers in academia and industry to create powerful, accurate and flexible software.
“We get knowledge, ideas, industrial lectures by NAG staff on our courses, and projects we can use for our MScs and PhDs”.
Nick Higham, Professor of Applied Mathematics, The University of Manchester
