Acorn, one the UK’s leading recruitment and training companies, worked with Cardiff Met to produce a joint course design for a work based learning qualification.
The flexible credit based course involved both on campus and one on one work based learning for Acorn employees, with students earning a foundation degree in applied professional practice.
This innovative project was supported by apprenticeship funding from the Welsh government, showing the value of business, higher education and government working together to deliver courses that help boost employment.
“Cardiff Met had a relationship with us. We had a track record of working together and without them we could never have achieved this.” Sarah John, Commercial Director at Acorn
